OMFG, today rocked.

=D Sushi for lunch, and then gaming. Gaming really goddamn rocked. leanne_opaskar was pretty tired out from school and whatnot, but perked up as the evening went on. Food was incredible, involving 'barbecued' lamb with blackberry (I think that was the colorberry, anyways...) glaze/sauce, a yummy flatbread thingy with jalapeno/cilantro puree, and artichokes with garlic butter.

OMFG YUM. But besides food, today ruled. Highlights:

Talking to hikaness one last time before I left for Europe. <3

Running to the bank to withdraw money for Europe and cursing at exchange rates.

Realizing how much of a regular I'm becoming at my sushi place. I literally was greeted by two servers and two of the sushi chefs (including the owner) as I was sitting down.

Getting to run my game totally unexpectedly - great going-away present!

The many, many halfling jokes. Oh, god, the halfling jokes. That's it, I've decided. meiczyslaw and valenthe get two Trav-ticks each. :P GM HAS SPOKEN. *thunders*

Speaking of GMing, another highlight was watching leanne_opaskar, meiczyslaw, valenthe, and chuckie_b utterly break my canned adventure. "As you find and open the secret door, seeing a spiral staircase, you hear a scream of agony and a loud SNAP somewhere off in the distance..."

Dinner conversation was great, too. Everyone seemed in fairly high spirits for the latter part of the evening, which always makes gaming fun.
